Disclosure required

Announce the vehicle if this part has existing permanent damage, or was removed, modified, repaired or replaced — no size limit applies.

Example: a front rail with a kink and weld marks from a previous repair must be announced, even if the repair looks clean.

Replacement only

Only a full replacement of the part triggers the announcement. Repairs, dents or minor damage on their own do not.

Example: a bolt-on radiator core support that was unbolted and swapped for a new one is announced; the same part straightened in place is not.

Tears 1" or more — disclosure required

Announce when a tear measures 1 inch or more, or when the panel has existing permanent damage, or was removed, modified, repaired or replaced.

Example: a 2" tear in the inner wheelhouse is announced; a 1/2" nick with no repair history is not.

Special condition

This component has its own wording that differs from the standard rules — open the card and read the exact condition for each structure type.

Example: some floor and shelf components are only announced when a specific area or attachment point is affected.

Position note

A field position clarifying how a specific vehicle or component is handled under an existing row, with a link to the full write-up in Structural Tools.

Example: the in-floor Stow ’n Go compartment on a Pacifica, Town & Country, or Grand Caravan is part of the floor pan — kinks, tears 1" or more, and permanent distortion are disclosed as structural.

Not applicable

That structure type does not have this component, so there is nothing to inspect or announce for it.

Example: a full ladder frame has no unibody rear rail, so the unibody-only rows read as not applicable.
